This private WoTLK server exists for educational purposes only. Feel free to create an account and play around. Because this is a project for my personal learning journey you should expect changes to occur, sometimes unexpectedly. I will do my best to post notices of upcoming changes, but sometimes I just get carried away and the next thing you know something is broken. Please submit a GM ticket or reach out on the Discord to report issues and we'll get to it as soon as we can.
READ BEFORE REGISTER
- Rule 1. Use a valid email address for registration.
- Rule 2. Don't be a dick. Even to the bots.
- Rule 3. Don't Ninja Loot from players. Ninja Looting from the bots is acceptable.
- Rule 4. Don't exploit bugs for personal (character) gain. Please report bugs via GM ticket.
- Rule 5. No cross-faction griefing. See Rule #1.
- Rule 6. Have fun. I invite you to provide feedback, suggestions, etc.
1. First you need to create a server login account. Click "Register" on the banner above.
2. Next you will need to have a WoTLK 3.3.5a client. We recommend the WoTLK 3.3.5a HD client. You can download it from Google Drive or as a Torrent (Magnet link>. You can reduce the torrent download by expanding the "Data" folder and deselecting the folders for any languages you don't want.
3. If you chose to use your own client you will likely need to edit the ClientDir\data\realmlist.wtf and add "wotlk.morgs.place" as the game server. If you chose to use the recommended WoTLK 3.3.5a HD client you will need to go into the
- Host: "wotlk.morgs.place"
- Portal: "en"
- Description: "MorgsPlace WoTLK"
- HomePage: "https://wotlk.morgs.place"
- ManageAccount: "https://wotlk.morgs.place"
- In the "-- server account" section enter your username and password in the appropriate fields in quotes. Ex: "MyUserName" / "MyPassW0rD#"
4. Save and close the file and launch the client using wow.exe and you should be able to connect to the server. If you run into any issues feel free to let me know either on the Discord server or via email. Click "Contact" on the bar above to join the Discord or email me.
